Virtual Winter Solstice Silent Ceremony with Kathie Jaskolski

  • Caya Yoga Community (Still Waters Yoga, LLC) 6027 Manley Rd. Maumee, Ohio 43537 United States (map)

Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year.  Solstice comes from the Latin word which means “stoppage of the sun”.   Winter Solstice is the great stillness before the sun’s strength builds and the days grow longer.  Many want to chase away this darkness but it is the perfect time to join Kathie on a silent journey inward that will honor this fruitful dark... out of which new life can emerge.

Why SILENT you might ask?  When we consciously practice silence and deep listening, we create space for compassion and empathy especially in times of chaos or challenge.  Silence opens the door for creativity that can be squelched by an overload of sensory input.  Studies show that silence can actually stimulate new cell growth in the brain, improve memory and release tension in the brain and body.  Spending time in silence also helped reduce insomnia and fatigue.

Kathie creates an uplifting ceremony that Includes guided meditation, soothing breathing practices, gentle movement and contemplation.  Once enrolled, you will receive some suggestions for preparation from Kathie that will make this ceremony more meaningful and fun for you.

This Winter Solstice, may the beauty of your darkness shine as bright as the promise of your Light!
